Seminar of Anne-Louise Ponsonby from Florey Institute

University of Bordeaux had the privilege of welcoming Professor Anne-Louise Ponsonby from the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health (FINMH), invited by Professor Marc Landry, in the frame of a Visiting Scholars grant of 3 months from October 1st to December 31st 2024.

Anne-Louise is also a partner in the PsyCoMed project as an epidemiologist and public health physician, and as head of the Neuroepidemiology group at the FINMH. Her work on prenatal plastic chemical exposures and child neurodevelopment is complementary in the consortium, especially regarding the matters of attention deficit and hypercativity disorders.

During her stay in Bordeaux, she was invited to present her research  during a seminar on November 26th 2024, entitled « Prenatal plastic chemical exposures, molecular programming and child neurodevelopment ».

Her team has been working on plastics for several years, with a recent focus on prenatal plastic chemicam exposures and child neurodevelopment, with a large mother-child cohort that has been followed for 9 years, which is a rare occurence.
