Meeting with ENDpoiNTs representatives

On December 16th 2024, the PsyCoMed consortium had the pleasure to organise an online collaborative meeting with 2 representatives of the ENDpoiNTs project: Jean-Baptise FINI, from the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle (France), and Anne-Louise PONSONBY from the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health (Australia), who is also partner of the PsyCoMed consortium.

The theme of this meeting was to present some common points between the two projects, with Pr. Fini giving a talk on « Exposures and biological outcomes – plasticizers, mixtures », and Pr. Ponsonby on « Recent work on early life plastics exposure and neurodevelopment from human studies including the ENDpoiNTs consortium ».

In addition, three of our partners led a presentation:

  • Pr. Francisco Olucha Bordonau (UJI): « The effect of prenatal and lactation mother exposure to nanoplastics on behavioural offspring performance »
  • Dr. Yassine Ait-Bali (UCA): « Anxiety: The gut-brain axis modelling with glyphosate pesticide »
  • Shiva Sotoudeh (Flanat Research): « Developing an optimized blend of Mediterranean Herb Extracts for Anxiety Management: Insights from the PsyCoMed project »

This meeting gave way to fruitful discussions between the partners, based on the results obtained in the ENDpoiNTs project.

ENDpoiNTs is a H2020 project focusing on developing new testing and screening methods to identify endrocrine disrupting chemicals that induce human development neurotoxicity.
